Timothy Johnson, Ph.D., Flagler College
A Senior Fulbright Scholar, Dr. Johnson holds a Doctorate in Sacred Theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, Italy. He is senior theology co-editor of Franciscan Studies, and has published numerous books and journal articles in his field. His latest publication is “Francis and Creation” in The Cambridge Companion to Francis of Assisi (Cambridge University Press, 2012). In addition to teaching and speaking engagements in the United States, Dr. Johnson has addressed questions of Franciscan theology, biblical interpretation, and sacred space for audiences in Africa, Europe, and South America.

Jerald MilanichJerald Milanich, Ph.D.,
Dr. Milanich is an American anthropologist and archaeologist specializing in Native American culture in Florida. He is Curator of Archaeology Emeritus at the Florida Museum of Natural History at the University of Florida.  His publications include Florida Indians and the Invasion from Europe (1995); Florida Indians from Ancient Times to the Present (1998); Frolicking Bears, Wet Vultures and Other Oddities: A New York City Journalist in Nineteenth-Century Florida (2005); and Laboring in the fields of the Lord: Spanish missions and Southeastern Indians (2006). Dr. Milanich won the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Florida Archaeological Council.

Sarah Miller, Flagler College
Sarah Miller received her Masters degree in Anthropology from East Carolina University in 2001 where she developed archaeology education programs at Tryon Palace in New Bern, North Carolina. Upon graduation, she supervised field and lab projects with public involvement and addressed compliance issues for the Kentucky Heritage Council. Since 2006 she has served as Director for the Florida Public Archaeology Network’s Northeast Regional Center; national leadership committee and statewide coordinator for Project Archaeology; and sits on the Historic Resource Review Board for St. Johns County.
